Step Warriors · Frothy Games
Terms of Use
Includes our Community Rules · Version 21 October 2026 (revision 4)
Who we are
Step Warriors is operated by David Newton and Michael Treacher in partnership as D NEWTON & M TREACHER, trading as FROTHY GAMES (ABN 87 721 170 518), based in Victoria, Australia. These terms cover the game and its website features. You can contact us at stepwarriorgame@gmail.com.
Agreeing to these terms
You must accept these terms, including the community rules, before creating or accessing a game account. We keep a record of your agreement. You can read the terms again in Options → Privacy & Terms.
If you are too young to enter this agreement where you live, ask a parent or guardian to review it and give any consent required by law before you play.
Accounts and access
You can play as a guest without giving us your name or email. Signing in with Apple or Google is optional and lets you recover a linked profile. Guest accounts rely on credentials stored on your device, so contact support before reinstalling if you need help keeping access.
Keep your device and sign-in account secure, and tell us about suspected unauthorised access. Do not sell accounts, impersonate someone else or use another person's credentials without permission.
You need an internet connection to load and save progress. You may also need a supported device, operating system and app version. Your provider's data charges apply.
Walking and safety
Choose activity that suits your health and surroundings, stop if you feel unwell, and seek medical advice when needed. Do not play while driving or when using your phone would be unsafe. Step Warriors is a game and does not provide medical advice or promise fitness results.
Credited steps may differ from your health app because of eligible sources, sync delays and game rules. Goals, streaks, rankings and simulations should not be used for health or safety decisions. Contact support if something looks wrong.
Privacy and optional permissions
Our Privacy Policy explains how we use your information and the choices you have. Agreeing to these terms does not give health or notification permissions or sign you up for marketing.
Dated step totals sync to our service for gameplay; raw health records stay on your device. Android also sends limited step-sync diagnostics. Friend step sharing is off by default. Battle Group members can see group steps and competition results. Normal Single Player builds are public in the Armoury and can be found by exact gamertag, even if you hide from friend rankings. Read the Privacy Policy for details.
Community rules
We do not allow objectionable content or abusive behaviour. Do not use hateful, sexual, threatening, harassing, discriminatory, impersonating or unlawful names or content. Do not share someone else's private information, infringe their rights, spam requests or evade blocks or moderation restrictions.
Fair play and service security
Do not fake steps, automate gameplay or requests for an unfair advantage, exploit bugs, spread malware, bypass access controls or disrupt the service or other players. Report security problems privately to support. These terms do not limit rights you have under applicable law. Any open-source components remain subject to their own licences.
Report and block
In Compete → Friends, select Report or Block on a friend or friend request. Reporting also blocks the player. Once confirmed, blocking removes them from your friends, requests and leaderboards and notifies us. You can unblock them from the Requests tab.
To report content elsewhere, email stepwarriorgame@gmail.com with the BattleTag or group name, where you saw it and a screenshot if helpful. Never send passwords, sign-in codes or health records.
Moderation and appeals
We review reports and take action within 24 hours. We remove confirmed objectionable content and ban the responsible account from social features. Serious or repeated abuse, fraud, security risks or legal obligations may also require a name change or further access restrictions.
We consider the evidence; a block alone does not prove misconduct. Where possible, we explain restrictions and let you respond. Safety or security concerns may require us to act first. Email support to appeal. You can still contact us about privacy or account deletion if your access is restricted.
Your content and our work
You keep any rights you have in material you submit. Make sure you have permission to use anything you submit. You give us a non-exclusive licence to store, copy, display and moderate it as needed to run, protect and support the game and its sharing features, in line with our Privacy Policy. This licence does not cover unrelated advertising. Copies may remain in completed results, backups or saved shares as explained in that policy.
The game's software, artwork, audio, text and branding belong to us or our licensors. You may share your gameplay screenshots and clips, respecting others' privacy and without suggesting we endorse you. Other reuse needs permission unless the law or relevant licence allows it.
Game resources and payments
There are currently no real-money purchases or subscriptions. The in-game Store uses earned gold. Gold, steps, items and other game resources have no cash value and must not be sold outside the game. Their availability and balance may change under the game rules.
If we introduce paid features, we will show you the price and purchase terms before you choose to buy.
App licences and third-party services
Apple's Standard End User License Agreement covers the iPhone app licence unless a custom licence is supplied through the App Store. These terms cover the game service and do not replace that licence. For Android and the website, we grant you personal, non-exclusive permission to use the software and service on compatible devices you own or control, subject to these terms and store rules.
Apple, Google and other services you use have their own terms and privacy policies. Third-party software keeps its own licences. Contact us for Step Warriors support.
Updates and service availability
We may update the game to fix faults, improve security, balance gameplay, change features or meet legal and platform requirements. Outages can happen, and we cannot promise permanent support for every device or a particular competition result.
Where reasonably possible, we will give advance notice in the app or on the website of a planned closure or a major change that adversely affects access. Urgent security, legal or platform issues may require earlier action.
Stopping use and deleting an account
You can stop playing at any time. To delete your account, open the account card on Choose Your Game and select Delete account. If you cannot access the app, follow the website's account-deletion instructions or email support. Signing out or uninstalling does not delete your account.
Our Privacy Policy explains what deletion removes and which limited records may remain. It does not delete your Apple or Google account, health records or separate email-list subscription.
Consumer rights and responsibility
You keep all rights and remedies that cannot be excluded by law, including Australian Consumer Law guarantees. We remain responsible for our conduct and service as required by law. Contact us about a fault or loss so we can investigate.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service or legal requirements change. We will give reasonable advance notice of material changes where possible, though urgent legal or security changes may need shorter notice. The app will ask you to accept the new version before you access your account. If you disagree, you can stop using the service and request deletion. Changes do not remove rights or remedies you already have.
Disputes and governing law
Email stepwarriorgame@gmail.com with the problem and the outcome you would like. You can also contact a regulator or use any legal remedy available to you without contacting us first.
Victorian law governs these terms, subject to mandatory protections where you live. Disputes may be heard in Victorian courts, without taking away your right to use another court or tribunal available under local law. If a provision cannot lawfully apply, the rest continues where it can do so fairly. A delay in enforcing a right does not waive it.
